Delete Rules

If a rule no longer serves a purpose in your security monitoring needs, you can permanently delete it from your F5 Distributed Cloud App Infrastructure Protection (AIP) organization. All event, alert, and anomaly data associated with the rule remains until their storage expiration window ends.

Permanently Delete a Single Rule
  1. Log into Distributed Cloud AIP.
  2. In the left navigation bar, click Rules. The Rules page displays.

  3. Find the rule to delete. To find the rule, see Search and Filter Rules.

  4. Click the Options button. The rule options menu displays.
  5. Click Delete. A confirmation message displays.

  6. In the confirmation message, type "delete 1 rule".

  7. Click the Delete 1 Rule button. The rule permanently deletes from Distributed Cloud AIP.

Permanently Delete Multiple Rules
  1. Log into Distributed Cloud AIP.
  2. In the left navigation bar, click Rules. The Rules page displays.

  3. Select the checkbox next to the rules to delete. To find the rules, see Search and Filter Rules The Rule Selection menu displays at the top of the Rule List. For more information on this section, see Rule Selection Menu.
  4. Click the Delete button. A confirmation message displays.

  5. In the confirmation message, type "delete [x] rules". Replace [x] with the number of selected rules.

  6. Click the Delete [x] Rules button, where [x] is the number of selected rules. The rules permanently delete from Distributed Cloud AIP.
