FAQ: Why didn’t the Agent restart on my RedHat (RHEL) 8 or Amazon Linux 2 distribution?

Due to a probable issue with the systemd RestartSec=2 parameter, the systemctl restart threatstack command may not execute on RedHat (RHEL) 8 or Amazon Linux 2 distributions. If the command is unsuccessful, then the command’s exit code indicates an unsuccessful execution and the output reads, “Job for threatstack.service cancelled.”

The F5 Distributed Cloud App Infrastructure Protection (AIP) Agent’s automatic retry process for restarts usually corrects the issue with no manual intervention.

If the Agent does not automatically restart, then rerun the systemctl restart threatstack command.
