When creating a rule, you are asked to define a threshold for alerts.
To reduce the noise of alerts, you can choose to group events into smaller groups of alerts. This way you still see events happening, but not so frequently that it gets hard to understand.
An automation you have configured updates a file 10 times over the course of an 8 hour business day.
If you configure the rule so an event occurs at least 10 times in 8 hours, you will receive one alert only after the 10th event.
The default values are that an event occurs at least 1 time in 1 day. This way you will get an alert right away when an event happens, but not another alert until the following day.
