Agent Support Policy


Support Policy Overview

Threat Stack releases minor updates to agents every month and major updates every quarter.  The minor releases mainly are related to performance improvements and major updates contain additional functionality.

We strongly urge our customers to update agents to the latest release and its easy to update agents using configuration management tools .

We provide active support for agents for the current release and the previous two releases in addition to the current release. For example, if the current version is 1.4.2, 1.4.1 and 1.4.0 will be supported.  If the current version is 1.5.0, the previous two minor releases on 1.4 will be supported.

Our support policy includes the:

  • Major version: current version is supported
  • Minor version: current and two previous minor versions (n-2) is supported

Process for Unsupported Agents

Customer success team will reach out to customers who are running out-of-version agents and will make good faith efforts to pro-actively inform them of outdated agents, and we will give a few weeks of "grace time" for our customers to upgrade.

If the agents are not upgraded in that time, we reserve the right to refuse serving an unsupported agent.  While we’ll never turn away a support request, we may ask you to upgrade to the latest agent to determine if a current version resolves your issue.
