FAQ: Why am I not seeing any CloudTrail events?

If CloudTrail events are not displaying as expected in the Events tab, check to ensure you have an AWS CloudTrail integration successfully configured:

  1. Log into F5 Distributed Cloud App Infrastructure Protection (AIP).
  2. In the left navigation pane, click Settings, then Integrations. The Integrations page displays.
  3. In the AWS Integrations section, click the Actions button for the integration, then the Edit button. The Edit AWS Integration menu displays.

    Ensure that the CloudTrail Integration section is enabled (displays with a blue check mark icon) and that there is at least one integration listed.

    If the blue check mark icon does not display for a CloudTrail integration you had previously configured, then the integration has likely errored due to a misconfiguration.
  4. Ensure all components of the CloudTrail integration have deployed. For instructions, see AWS Manual Integration Setup.

If everything looks normal and the integration is disabled, contact AIP support (aipsupport@f5.com) for further assistance with determining the specific cause of the error.
