Hostname Limitation

Does Threat Stack have a Hostname Limitation? (What does error [36] mean?)

Threat Stack has a 62 character hostname limitation. If you exceed the character limit, the tsfim service crashes repeatedly.

The output of the cloudsight/logs/threatstack-tsfim.log displays an error message “File name too long [36]” or a similar message.

You can avoid the “File name too long [36]” or similar error by using a shorter hostname.
